Why is Carole still here?

Up here on the left.
I'd rather have any member of the squad come on as a sub than him. It's not as if he'd cost anything to get rid of as he's only on a week by week contract. Some money to be saved here, shirley?

Maybe he makes a good cup of tea? Can't see any football reason foro it to be honest.

Decent enough the first time he was with us but he really is rather pointless.

If he was not good enough for the likes of Tranmere & Darlington!!! he really should be shown the door

Would sooner have Cox on the bench to come on if Bennett or Lua Lua are not producing the goods. Yesterday a couple of times in the first half the ball shot across the goal mouth and I am sure had he been on the field Cox would have got on the end of them.

I said this yesterday, and it's ridiculous.

He hasn't started now for a good 6 games.

He hasn't come on for a good 5 games.

He is not in the same league as Bennett or Lua Lua and most would agree that Cox has more to offer than Carole.

Why on earth he is still here when at any moment we can get rid without a cost, is beyond me:censored:

If he's there longer than this season then we should lay a trap; one that allows him to sniff merrily at the cheese before the bar comes down to crunch him. I reckon he's been nibbling at my slippers for the last couple of months, the ones my aunt bought me on her trip to Egypt that are sandproof and feelingly etched with dromedarian silk, emerging from his burrow and leaving dry droppings on my eggshell-coloured rug.

Because Poyet wants him here?

Tis a mystery really, i mean, unless he's like Albert Jarret in training, where he actually looks good, and just cant produce it in the real game, i have no idea why he is there

but hopefully, when Poyet has the summer to himself, he can find a few gems

He's on a week to week contract, that's what amazes me. We can just say toodles to him at any time, and yet, he's still here. I've nothing against Poyet wanting to keep the chap employed and give him a chance to suggest he's worthy of being at the club.

I think it's safe to say that Poyet has more patience with players than the majority on NSC, and he has more reason to considering he sees what happens all week. Clearly, he doesn't think much of what Dean Cox has been offering, which I think is a shame because I think he's still got a role to play for us, but sees something in Carole he likes and wants.

I wouldn't keep him, I wouldn't have even THOUGHT about resigning him. And I can't really understand why Poyet is keeping him, but there must be a reason.

maybe, the manager who sees him every day in training and assesses his fitness and skill knows him a bit better than the collective on NSC?

Doubt he's on much of a wage, so may as well keep him until the end of the season JUST in case we have a few injuries to wingers all in the same week or two, and we're pretty much safe anyway.

You need cover, Carole at this point is adequate however if we are pushing for promotion I doubt he is what we need. Having 4 wingers gives the top two cover and he is certainly good enough as cover, but that is where it stops.

Thanks for that, I have now hurt my side falling from chair laughing at such a dumb comment. We don't need 4 wingers and to be honest, Carole hardly fits that category now. He can't get past defenders and he can't cross or pass or defend. The game against a poor Huddersfield team he had a negative contribution and the following game against Norwich, we were winning when he was off the pitch and we lost when he came on. He failed to support Calderon on the right side of our defence from where the equalizer came. Better to have Cox on the bench as he is far more effective than Carole or even one of the youngsters to give them experience.

Ditto the above. At the end of the day, we don't pay to watch people train, it's what they do on the pitch that counts and he has been totally ineffective during this spell at the club and the last one.

No but poyet does.

So you think that the views of people who watch him occasionally on a Saturday afternoon ( including lots who dont go and still have a view) are worth more that the manager and coaching staff?
