Change the names of things.

For years I’ve been getting gherkins and now I’m being told they are called cornichons.
They’re gherkins…
Or pickles in the States.
It shouldn’t really bother me but it does.

Cornichons are tiddlers, french style. Gherkins in the french are Grand Russe (ie eastern european style), or wallys in cockney (which I guess is where they first showed up here)

Same name in Canada. People are obsessed with them. They're even one of the most popular chip (crisp) flavours.
I like them sliced up in a burger or sandwich but they're quite unpleasant to eat on their own.

It is disgusting! You're given what looks like a battered sausage only to be massively let down when you bite into it.
