Given the dramatics from some of our players I’m not in favour

One of the three incidents from this weekend’s football mentioned on 606 tonight….thought he’d dived at the time ..embarrassing for the player

Edit Westie beat me to it ……again!

I was thinking during the game that Moyes teams didn’t do this 10, 15 years ago.

A case of if you can’t beat them, join in.

Genuinely, I wonder if Emery, Silva et al have a specialist coach on cheating methods.

[I know the nsc cavalry will arrive soon to tell us that we’re as bad as anyone at cheating. We’re not].

It was that player's first game in the PL wasn't it? I wonder if Moyes will tell him to cut it out. We will see.

Just seen this on Twitter.....why cant retrospective action be taken against cheats? a 3 match ban would stop this simulation.....buy when puntits call it clever and winning a free kick it will not get stopped.

I couldn’t understand this at the time as I was convinced, if anything it should be a foul to BHA. I was right. My view at the time was it would be good if referees actually made decisions on what they seen, NOT what they think they have seen.

Absolutely this type of stuff should be dealt with retrospectively, VAR spends too much time dicking around with wafer thin offside decisions, why can't the tech be put to better use dealing with blantant cheating?
I don't think we ever wanted wafer thin offside decisions interfered with anyway, did we? Just blatant obvious mistakes. Far better if they concentrated on cheating (and hair pulling).

The issue with this one, is that the ref saw the incident during the game, and indicated to the West Ham player to cease doing it, when clearly there should have been no second chance and a yellow card should have been issued.

The Referees Assoc need to confirm why no card was issued during the game.

They are clamping down on time wasting, but let this cheating go unpunished, madness.

I would suggest that VAR should look at things like this whilst the game carries on and advise the ref to issue bookings/red cards, but we all know that would be too complicated for them.
Unfortunately VAR can only alert the ref to possible red cards. It was an absolute disgrace claiming he'd been hit in the face but really only a yellow.

Can we all please drop the euphemism 'simulation'.

I note a few of you are still using it
And the term shithousery. People sound, and possibly are, stupid when using especially grown adults. Better words are available! :)
