SOMETHING MUST BE DONE VERY QUICK.

Does our survival as a club depend on Championship football? I doubt it.

We were incredibly fortunate to make it into the Championship last season.

We are a better team this season than we were at the end of last.

If we get relegated, it ain't the end of the world.

The time to act is at the end of the season, be it at board/coaching or player level.

RIght now, we should be using all that old fashioned resolve we developed towards the end at the Goldstone. We knew the constraints then, we know them now. League One football next season is a luxury compared to Ryman league/no club.

Yes I am sick to death of certain people on here with their views of they are better fans than others.

I don't think anyone mentioned true fan.

Others do have different opinions and can challenge your opinion. I thought that is what this message board was about.

What you are ignoring, BG, is that the last 7 or 8 years have been about getting a permanent home in Brighton. A lot of money would have been nice, but it would not have got us one inch closer to that permanent home. The plain fact is that ever since DK became chairman we have needed a strategist, a politician, and a fan as chairman, and fortunately we have had one. It would be EXTREMELY difficult to have found a better leader than Dick Knight. When Falmer is finally given the green light (after the Judicial Review), it is then that we will need money, and it is then perhaps time for Dick Knight to step aside into an honorary role. Remember, DK has done the following:

- Negotiated the removal of Bill Archer
- Brought the club home
- Achieved the virtually impossible in getting planning permission for Falmer
- Appointed four excellent managers (Adams, Taylor, Coppell, McGhee)

That is a bloody amazing track record.

We may be frustrated with the current situation, but the plain fact is that we are playing a league above our rightful position at the mo, and we just have to accept that times will be tough. We may go down, but I'm very confident that the long term future of this club is in the right hands.

I wouldn't argue with your 4th point appointed 4 good managers.

He negotiated the removal of BA by paying him the money that he wanted and others wouldn't give him as they didnt consider it a good business deal.

He brought us home because he had no choice nobody else would hire their ground to us and that is how he got the support of the masses to enable him to become chairman by declaring that he would do that, bring us back to Brighton.

Now is not the time to doubt getting Falmer but I believe that anybody else would have found a site and we would have been playing on it by now, unfortunatekly that cannot be proved one way or the other.

The supporters of this club will be eternally grateful for what DK has achieved that cannot be denied by me or anybody else but I am talking of the future. He is not the future of this club and at the moment he is not acting in the best interets of the immediate future of this club which is to stay in CCC by doing nothing.
