I still think it's ridiculous that the supporters bar holds 250 and the restaurants hold 3,000. Most of the restaurant space will be wasted.

Who here, who's a 1901er, intends eating in one of the 1901 restaurants every match?

Hi Marc - we are going to hang on until the season starts before we send out the prints. We'd like as many people as possible to get to see it 16 feet wide first to get the full effect.

Hold fire on frames at the mo. We are looking to do a tie in with a frame makers where you'll be able to get reasonably priced frames that will be a perfect fit. Remember it's not an exact A size.

The prints will be 840mm x 440mm.

Do the club benefit from drink sales?,or is it the caterers that will?.I would be more inclined to go if the club benefit.

As I understand it, the restaurants (with bar) are for the premium seats ie 1901ers. And their capacity is such that there is room for every 1901er to have a sit down meal if they so choose. The space is flexible though, and will be configured for the bar and dining demands of each game. Less diners, more bar space and vice versa.

As for your last question there are a number of groups and individuals who have taken up the dining season ticket option ie they have booked a table for every home game.

They will be open, but don't get your hopes up about being allowed in:

Q: How will the University and the club ensure the safety of students (particularly young first year students living on campus) and staff on match days?
A: Football fans who park on campus will be restricted to set vehicular and pedestrian access routes. They will not have access to any other parts of campus. The football club will pay for the upgrading of CCTV cameras around campus.

Q: Will the student bars and the restaurants on campus remain open on match days?
A: There would be no access to student bars and restaurants for any football fans - so there would be no reason not to open them.

Q: If the student bars and campus restaurants did stay open, would football fans have access to them?
A: There would be no access to student bars and restaurants for any football fans.

Questions and answers : Falmer stadium : University of Sussex

What about for Sussex students who may be attending a game? :glare:

Whats the crack with the North stand, as I understand there is no bar behind it, so do you go into the west before then walk round to the North just before kick off. What happens if you arrived early but still can't get in the supporters bar due to numbers?

If this is the case then I'd stay in town until near kick off, f*ck the gamble of might or might not being able to get in the bar. Imagine 100's of people walking around wanting a beer and not getting one, you are basically stuck in the arse end to no-where then.

So you can't have a pint at half time ?
That's shit !!!

The emirates serve beer during a game & I'm sure other stadiums do, so long as you can't see the game from the drinking area I think the law states it's fine

Certainly intend to use the supporters bar if possible. For the first game I'll be there way before it opens! Will also check out the WSU concourse and if that is decent then it will provide the alternative if the SB is too oversubscribed. I think it will be around the same size as the Saddlers Club at Walsall which I believe had a capacity of around 300.

Shame the bar is small, but it should guarantee it is a success at least so the campaigning for it will have been vindicated. If I can't get in on matchdays I look forward to doing my bit for retaining the Harveys/Dark Star concessions on the concourses.
