More importantly much rather go Prague than Zagreb albeit Slavia are making a bit of a hash of their game so far! After less than half an hour of play, Sparta Prague already winning 2-0 vs. Dinamo Zagreb.
Dinamo Zagreb won the first leg 3-1, so tie now even.
If Dinamo Zagreb are eliminated, Rangers will be placed in Pot 1.
Do you think pot 2 rather than 3 makes virtually any difference? We are currently 3rd favourites for the whole thing! Now Qarabag have qualified above us, we will need 4 from Ajax, Dinamo Zagreb, Slavia Prague, Olympiacos, LASK or Slovan Bratislava to not qualify to sneak into Pot 2.
So far Ajax should be home and hosed 4-1 up from the 1st leg,
Zagrab drawing 3-3 on agg,
Prague drawing 2-2 on agg,
Olympiacos 3-1 up on agg,
LASK not started but only 2-1 up on agg
Bratislava now 4-1 down and 5-3 down on agg.
So after all that we are 1 place higher 'seeded' 19, still need 3 games to turn around but a couple in the balance with draws on agg. So Pot 2 still a possibility.
I would prefer a trip to the Faroe Islands but it is looking unlikely... here are the scores so far:KL Klaksvik of The Faroe Islands now level with Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova. Who do we want to win there?
3rd favourite only because the champions lge teams aren’t in yet so the percentage is rubbishDo you think pot 2 rather than 3 makes virtually any difference? We are currently 3rd favourites for the whole thing!
Percentage? Anyhow do you think being in pot 2 will significantly change our chances as that was what was being discussed?3rd favourite only because the champions lge teams aren’t in yet so the percentage is rubbish
The dream for me is the away leg in Prague on 5th October. The Pardubice - basically the Czech Grand National - is on the 8th. It's a cracking day out and £1.25 a pint of Staropramen. Both Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague going through as it stands. They're both dream away days to put it mildly.
