This. Burn was being roasted by Saka a good 5-10 minutes before he set up Lacazette's goal. It's not his fault that he isn't faster, and Bernardo offered him zero help. A decisive manager would have plugged that weakness somehow before the goal went in as it was blindingly obvious to everyone at home.

When chasing the game in the final stages we have two CBs playing wide either side. Never looked like delivering a decent cross. Burn or Veltman on the overlap is scaring no one.

Ah, I guess were blaming Burn today for not being quicker than that winger? How about no one picking up Lacazette?

Absolutely this. 4 complete statues in the middle, Lacazette time to roll a fag before shooting whilst Burn is busting a gut down the wing chasing a rapid kid......but Burn gets a ‘you’re shit’ thread.

FFS.

Best was a disgrace when here. No comparison at all.

Burn is a decent player, but not top half Premier League material... like most of our players.

Lack of investment in the first team squad is really costing us this year.

Agree on the lack of investment. I do feel Potter needs to just bite the bullet and change things up, look to play more to the player’s strengths and incrementally add to the squad

Burn at least was looking to move ball forward today, Bernardo was appalling, league 1 at best!

Personally would have used March to replace him (Bernardo) at half time, but we never ever seem to make any substitutions until too late, how often do teams change tactics, formations against us and Potter looks on, for 45 minutes before thinking, oh I should change, clue, we're normally losing then.

Potter cannot think on his feet, cannot see whats coming, unllike vast majority of supporters and is simply far too slow to react.

A manger keen to try the challenge of Championship football, mark my words, he will be clueless there too!

Thought Burn has done pretty well in the last 2 games and was good last season. Very unfair to compare him to Best who was a complete waste of time (and a 'striker' - allegedly)!

... apart from West Ham in the last match we played when Dan Burn on the overlap created our opening goal...

(But do continue to go for it with your moaning. Better to get things off your chest here than in real life.)

cant compare but Burn as a left back is the worst i have seen for Albion. Many not keen on Bernardo but as a natural full back he would not have let wide player free like today

Burn and Veltman have 65 Brighton appearances between them. They have 0 goals and 0 assists.

The Burn pass you’re referring too was a pass into the box when he was in masses of space. Maupay then scored from a defensive error. It wasn’t a goal made by fantastic wing back play from Burn, March and the mistake played the bigger part.
