Surely you would want to stick one past Palace in a new superb grounds while they are still at Selhurst park:lolol:

True, true, but as a non-seagull I don't suppose you could even start to imagine what it would be like if (in the obviously unlikely event) they won the first ever match at our lovely new home.

It would be soiled for ever, I'd never go again, children would cry, mothers would weep, fathers would commit hari-kari. The sea would rise in anger and submerge Rottingdean. Storm clouds would gather over the players homes, shooting bolts of lightening at their feet. The hope of the second coming of the Lord (Peter Ward) would be lost forever. Des Lynams tash would fall off, Rachel would fall in love with The Northstander, Natalie Imbruglia would fall in love with Chapman's The Saviour - No, it's all too awful to contemplate. Make it Donny.....please.

Not P@l@ce, they shouldn't even be recognised by us.I don't really want to spit fire/hatred on this momentous glorious occasion when everyone will be happy.

Great idea BrightonBird with BZ,Barry,Brooker,Mark Lawrenson etc all trotting out in a retro kit.

except that Lawro hasn't got a single good word to say about The Albion. I worshipped that bloke when I was younger, now, I just think he's a nob.

Has to be Donny.

As has been said, Palarse would be the worst choice as they'd really want to start us off on the wrong foot. As they'll be in a lower division by then, it's surely best to keep them away for as long as possible. Meanwhile, we can knock them out of the cup(s) at Selhurst every year! :clap2:

Yes.

A bit like he did at Hereford

:lolol:

Southampton wouldn't be bad at all, after we opened and closed The Dell. But as someone else said, playing Doncaster would be a huge statement on behalf of fans everywhere. Has to be Donny.

That's alright, Lord B, I'd be cheering on the old side anyway. McDonald down the left, Storer down the right, crossing inch-perfect balls over for Maskell and Baird to ram home. Now THAT was good to watch.
In 1996/97 it was the ONLY good thing to watch. They scored 29 goals between them that year.

brighton, actually
i thought hereford...

for 'closue' on the old goldstone - are we gonaa keep the
name for falmer site? (ie, new goldstone?)

we're playing havoc with the 92 club!

other ideas - liverpool, cheski, or maybe the NYC team
sponsored via REMF, for a pre match friendly with
some younger BHA fans?
