Watching the game it looked to me like Sandaza scored, other posters on here seem to have given him the goal, as did the argus. But the radio, club site, and espnsoccernet all gave the goal to Tarrico.

I would give it to Sandy.
Tanno's header was going wide.

I thought it was Tarricco as that's what it said on the BBC. I was sitting in H block so I couldn't see.

The Guardian report says that Taricco 'put his laces through it' to score, despite not actually scoring, and his touch being a header.

Sandaza scored; Taricco's header was going wide.

Unfortunately the Press Association journalist gave it over the wires as Taricco. As the PA's feed is taken by Sky, the BBC, Soccerbase, Soccernet and many other publications and websites, including FLTV, who provide the data for the offical websites, this is why Taricco is getting the credit.

The clubs official statistics have recorded it as Sandaza. (the match report written by club staff on the official website states Sandaza as well).

To answer your other question (on Ask the Club) about bookings against Oldham, I can confirm that all three of Barnes, El-Abd and Sandaza were booked. Again the Press Association reporter at the game missed the Sandaza booking but again the match report written by the club's own staff states that Sandaza did get booked.

Sandaza. No argument about it.

Sandaza. 100%. comical on the radio when they had been saying how he had failed to score and then Poyet said he had. Normal amateur Southern Counties.

Sandaza. Sitting in the CBeebies Stand as I do, we were right in line with it and had a right old chuckle along the lines of 'oh well - they all count'. See, that's EXACTLY the sort of fun we have in there.

They're quite good at getting some of the basics wrong aren't they?

Last season I think it was, Nicky Forster scored an overhead kick against... well, someone away from home. The PA credited Tommy Elphick with it, and when someone from within the Albion - it might have even been you, Ferret, or Paul Camillin, tried to correct it, the man from the Press Association wouldn't have it and a bit of a barney ensued.

It's a third or fourth-hand story, so it may have got lost a bit in translation, but I'm sure something like that happened.

El Goleador got a touch on the ball to send it into the back of the net. It might not have gone in if he wasn't wearing blue thermal tights.
