Who on NSC do you think might be posh?

Blimey. You might have worked with my mum. She was Administrator when Gavin was artistic director. I didn't think he was a professor either but a google search turned up different and the photo was most surely him - once met never forgotten.

Did she work in the Old Steine offices? The press office was in the small building in Church Street that was once the Cottage second-hand record shop and is now a tapas bar - and then later in a house in Queens Gardens.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
You are only really posh if you inherited your house and furniture. If you had to buy either, you are tres nouveau my dear.

I'm pretty sure there is nobody who would be considered posh on NSC. Lets hear what people think of as posh.

A few of mine.

Old money. You are allowed a career though.
You have to have gone to the right School, such as Winchester, Radley, Eaton or Harrow.
Your parents own land. This is preferable but not essential.
Money would be nice but not essential for poshness.
A selection of your friends that you swap Dinners with should have a title.

Because I said 'chap'...?

No, not really. Although the nature of my job does result in me having a posh twang to my voice. I'll get found out one day though. Probably the day when I shout 'boobies' during a meeting.

Posh people say boobies too, you know. At least I hope they do :(

What's the outside perception of Horsham? Also I was born in my own house and I'm told that's incredibly weird and quite a posh thing these days :/

Yes with Gill. Her name is Valarie Thackeray.

Ah yes.. I didn't get over there much except when our Swedish secretaries (don't ask) had to use the photocopier.

May was certainly hectic, but we got free access to most events. I remember spending an entire day with the late, great Brian Glover, who was in something at The Dome and was doing a few interviews. Then going to see him perform that evening.

He wasn't posh at all (just to get back to the original subject of this thread). But I don't suppose many people from Barnsley are ...

My perception, being a Brightonian living in London, is that it's a very middle class town, typical of most towns in southern England. Pleasant and friendly(?) but not a great deal going on. Posh-ish.

Remember, that's my perception and I've not been there many times.

How many do you have to have to qualify? I'd have to admit to about 1.75/5; a 1.0, a 0.5 and a 0.25.

Pretty spot on to my own view of it, not posh but nice, even if it's rather boring! The only area that's pretty crap is Roffey, like an extension of Crawley, horrible horrible place
