I didn't go as I was only 15 and wasn't allowed to go on my own. None of my mean relatives would take me. Grrrr

I'm old enough to have gone to both.

My Dad always said he would never go to a Cup Final because all the tickets went to the County FAs and it was all a stitch-up but as soon as we got there .... a different story. We went to Highbury, and Wembley. And then he gave me Monday off work to go and get the tickets for the replay!

Got in to Wembley on the Saturday about 2 minutes to 3 and watched from the very back. Fantastic day. I still have my flag, tickets, rosette, jumper, programmes, Argus, video of the game, little FA Cup badge with blue and white ribbons!

Replay was a schocker, fighting everywhere in our section. We were leaning on the front of the upper tier and some fans called out from below for a hand-up away from the trouble. I reach out to someone and pull up a friend from Uni who supported Pompey! Blowed if I can remember any of the match or the score though. I have never even watched the replay on tape.

Did the quarter, semi, final and replay.

Don't remember fighting at the replay, m20gull. Thought that was mainly the actual final, but the memory of the replay is pretty vague. I did watch the highlights once, and have to say that Wilkins' goal was superb.

Happy days.

After the final, I went to a party in the heart of Palace land still wearing the colours and was surprised that most people there congratulated us on pushing ManUre so close and for outsinging them. The first comment I got when I walked in was "You're a noisy lot, aren't you?" :smokin:
