It’s a very fair question, and I understand your point. For me, I guess it’s the racism of the party which I find difficult to reconcile. Why would a black person vote for a PM who describes them as Pickaninnies? Or has fanned the flames of racism. Or Asians voting for someone who refers to muslim females as letterboxes.

Possibly because not all black people are stupid enough to believe that is true? I dare say even in this post-colonial days there are people who believe that all black people are the same and should be happy to do what white people tell them is right. Please don't be one of them. Whisper it gently, it's actually possible that some of these muslim ladies don't actually like being dressing up in outfits that look like black letter boxes, and will vote for someone who agrees with them. Just because they have dark skin does not mean that they are all the same.
