• A defected Tory is still a Tory. Where does socialism enter into this?

• Socialism doesn't have the monopoly on 'eco warriors'.

• Champagne Socialist is an equally arse-ended phrase of no meaning. Are socialists banned from drinking Champagne? Is there a hypocrisy in drinking a sparkling wine which detractors of socialism have unilaterally decided they can't?

• A Corbynite is a phrase of little meaning except to those who believe they're using it perjoratively.

• Is a Class Warrior someone who despises other social classes? So since when did socialism grab the monopoly on that as well? Have you seen the behaviour of those from some from a variety of echelons within the class system (especially those in government) towards the poor and vulnerable in society?

• Tony Blair isn't a socialist.

Corbynites.........pretend to represent a majority but only interested in themselves. No different to any other politicians but by destroying the party's potential to access government they deny everyone the opportunity to oppose or replace the current administration.

You can take it as it's literally meaning, or its metaphorical meaning of one who enjoys the trappings of a wealthy capitalist luxurious lifestyle while espousing the virtues of the ideology of socialism.

I personally find it a derogatory term as I'm not a big fan of champagne, so prefer Prosecco Proletariat.

Of course I have to face the consequences. At the very least, in around two years I'm going to have a passport that's a lot more useless than say an Irish passport.

I find Prosecco too sweet. I do like some of the English sparkling wines though. The can be very good.
