Where's Fred Binney?
Got a feeling Murray is creeping up on Wardy now. Can anyone confirm what the current standings are?

If Murray avoids a big injury, he'll get to a 100, wherever we are.
Neither Ward nor Zamora makes the top 3 Albion scorers.
Top is Bert Stephens with 174 goals, Tommy Cook with 123 and Jock Davie with 120.
Kit Napier is next with 99 and then, it's Peter Ward with 95 (shared with Bobby Farrell)
Bobby ZAmora scored 76 making him 11th in the all-time list.
Top scorer in terms of goals per game is Arthur Attwood who averaged 0.72 goals per game.
Where on earth did that come from? Vinnicombe's iconic book gives the following figures:
Stephens 62 goals;
Cook 114;
Davie 36;
Napier 84;
Ward 52;
Attwood 55.
These figures are for league goals only, but we didn't score hundreds of cup goals back in the day (even accounting for the season in the 1930s when we scored 40 odd in the FA Cup). Can't see how Stephens, for example, could have scored 112 goals in Cup matches on top of his 62 in the league, even allowing for wartime matches!
Well, he didn't get many of the missing 112 goals in that match, then! Seriously though, I don't think we can count anything except for proper first class matches when we're calculating records - even wartime internationals don't count for caps.Scored a lot during WW2 when there were mickey mouse league games but no formal competition (we lost 18-0 to Norwich with half of our team made up of spectators!).
