Who has produced the best individual opposition performance at the AMEX?

Worthing
I might be going mad - but I'm sure K. Phillips played the entire 90 minutes. I remember commenting at the time on what a good all-round performance it was from him (ie. not just a cameo from the bench).

He did indeed. And was in a yard of space for the entire 90. Utter quality movement throughout. Always an option.

I'm not sure why Kuyt gets a mention but not Maxi Rodriguez or the racist Luis Suarez. It was that TRIUMVIRATE that produced the best football Liverpool played against us this season.
.

Because the question was ..."at the AMEX"

Obviously the other member of the TRIUMVIRATE was the neckless wonder Craig Bellamy, I probably should have mentioned that.

I now realise that it was implied by the fact the first post said Kuyt and Bellamy. Get it together Tyrone.

Kevin Nolan I thought was the stand out guy, when West Ham came down here. You can also see why he had been in the Premier League for that amount of time. But for me it had to be Kevin Phillips, the bloke for his age is just a predator in and around the box. And if you don't mark him out of the game, he will just punish you and he quite clearly did against us.

In the field
Nolan was very good. Not the most techincally-gifted player we have seen at the Amex this season, but his sheer experience in being able to utterly boss the game in a number of ways (including reffing it) was a sight to be seen.

Never said he didn't play, just didn't impress me as much as Kuyt and Bellamy. He looked very dangerous at Anfield though.

Oh, fair enough. Apologies. To be fair I thought Kuyt and Bellamy were excellent but I thought Suarez was a different gravy altogether. Bit like when Gotsmanoxv arrived at the Goldstone..................
