Eminem's debut album was a very well made piece of music, unfortunately he's got steadily worse as time has gone on and is balls.

Listen to the Roots Gwubber and learn how hip hop should be made properly.

In answer to this question I would asy that the Super Furry Animals have probably been making the most innovative and forward thinking music that I've heard in the last ten years and their live shows are BRILL.

Not my cup of tea, but I think Green Day have been the biggest, followed by U2 and The Foo Fighters.

Fair comment about Green Day, they have been around since the early 90's, the single American Idiot, was brave and made some good points.

How was it brave? It's nothing that hasn't been done before, musically or lyrically.

The Americans have lurched to the right, anyone who goes against their political mainstream suffers serious consequences, does Guantanamo Bay or the term "extraordinary rendition" mean anything to you.

I'd say on the basis of consistently good albums Super Furries have to be up there along with Elliot Smith and em, that's about it

Are you seriously suggesting that they'd be imprisoned and tortured for that song? It may be a crime against music but that's a bit harsh! The worst that they "braved" was a few less 15 year olds buying their album, which is hardly a big deal when you've got millions in the bank.

No more Americans are now believed to be more left-wing than ever before, it's mainly there media that portray all American's as right-wing and the British idea of idealogical superioirity over the 'average American'

I think she is second only to Lesley Garrett in female Sopranos in this country.

He voice is quite sublime and her latest CD which features Mozart and Verdi aria's is a joy to the ears ( as well as the loins:) )

Radiohead. The best band live and some great albums. Truly original and also political. A cut above anything else out there.

Sheer class.

I am not suggesting that Green Day would be imprisoned for producing lyrics that go against the views of the politicians in power, however my experience is that a vast percentage of their countrymen are totally in support of the way their country is trying to combat terrorism.
