I never wanted coppell at the albion and i hope he doesn't return, as others have stated, what did he actually achieve? I remember going to stoke away (evening match) near the end of the season, massive six pointer and we hardly a shot, absolutely gutless performance and as per usual coppell refused to use his subs and we lost and were then relegated. And has everyone forgotten palace away, 5 f***ing goals they put past us but coppell probably didn't realise that as he was too busy waving to his adoring pikey fanclub.
For me it's a close run thing between adams who really pulled the club back up by it's bootstrings and McGhee who managed to keep us in the championship while at the same time nuturing and developing all the kids through to the first teams (remember how coppell ignored virgo). My vote goes to McGhee but a special mention to taylor, he won us a championship...

I think the question is too ambiguous.

Coppell is the man who achieved the most at OTHER clubs, but was actually pretty poor in the 1st Division/Championship. Got us off to a flier after relegation (which was down to him as 34 games is more than enough to avoid trouble if you're up to it) and left us top - would we have stayed there if he'd stayed, who knows?

I personally think it's a toss-up between Adams and Magoo, with Adams just shading it.

A decent haul I am glad to see for Satan's child himself Mark McGhee.

I do however think Taylor did far more whilst he was here than people have ever given him credit for.

Adams won things - end of.

Coppell clearly the most skilled all round manager though
