I think that's what lost it for him in the end. When they were showing the contestants' journeys throughout the show, Leon was consistently "nice" and Rhydian came across as a complete dick! I'm certain that that lost him countless votes.

As with all these programmes, the power lies with the Director and the Editors. You can make anyone look like anything if you edit it correctly. They needed a baddy, and the Riddler stepped up.

Well I thought Leon AND Rhydian gave excellent performances last night. I really couldn't seperate them, so once Same Difference were out of the equation, I voted for both of them.

Quite possibly. In the same way, the public were invited to vote for the incest twins the week before because she 'had been bullied at school'! Like I say, its about more than just the singing ability.

At the end of the day, the system DOES work from the producers point of view, because quite simply the level of people who are stupid enough to PAY MONEY to vote for an act, is a very very good indicator of how many people will be prepared to BUY their records. Ergo - most votes = most potential sales = profits.

Of course Ryddian can hold a tune better, than Leon. But if people don't like him enough to pay 25p to vote for him, are they going to shell out £3 for his CD single?
