Fair play Ben Mee - admirable reaction to what happened last night.

I assume he was equally outraged by his own fans open racism and homophobia in the game at Turf Moor against us in 2018, so if someone could point me in the direction of his post match interview from that day I would love to see it. Thanks.

I can easily get my head around the concept, the movement less so.........multi millionaire football players advocating to dismantle the system that they have benefitted from and continue to do so?

It seems you can’t get your head around the concept at all because you purposely leave out the qualifying clause of the dismantlement statement you are quoting. This is it:

“that disproportionately harm black people in Britain and around the world.”

The reason you do this? I’m sure people will make their minds up on your agenda.

An interesting link you posted though which I will now donate to, thanks. Are you happy that David Cameron’s family had been paid compensation for the abolition of slavery up until 5 years ago?

This is bizarre.

Is it, you’re the one saying BLM is easy to get your head around?

By any measure, Premiership footballers (past and present) are some of the wealthiest individuals in the country, yet they are seemingly reconciled with the objectives of BLM movement, including the dismantling of capitalism.

If they are to mean what they say, I want less talking and more walking.

Otherwise, I will conclude they are either to dumb to understand the objectives of the movement they are shilling.

Only just seen this thread and heard the news.

I was watching the match on Sky and heard the light aircraft. I genuinely thought at the time that a banner might’ve been paraded, but was thinking along the lines of ManU supporters mocking their hated neighbours eg Emptihad.

The problem with the “White Lives Matter” statement is that not-so-cleverly it isn’t literally racist. But decent folk (the vast majority of Brits imho) know it’s spoken by racists and/or thicko’s. As white people we don’t need our lives specially protected or any more than they are already.

Whose life is specially protected and what form of protection are you suggesting?
Most Jews are white but they are the most persecuted race on earth. White children bully other white children because they might be deemed to be slightly different, affecting their development and future lives. I was bullied incessantly on the school bus because I happened to go to a different school from the majority. Ganged up on,kicked, punched and insulted. No special protection there. The perpetrators were all white. I was overlooked for two job promotions early in life ( in a multi-national ) because I didn't have a university education. Pure, unadulterated, discrimination. It goes on all the time. A lot of it has nothing to do with ethnicity or colour, its all down to background and privilege and not necessarily, ability. Most white people have no chance of breaking down this form of institutionalised selectivity. The answer is to do it yourself. There is opportunity out there for everybody, irrespective of race, colour or creed. Anyone can start out on their own. No one is stopping them. We have to keep incentivising people. We need wealth creation to prosper. We need to be moving away from this victim culture we are all part of and show those who want to perpetuate a black/white divide for their own agenda, a different and more inclusive way forward.

This is bizarre.

I've read it back a few times, and i'm genuinely wondering if they are being deliberately obtuse. Has to be on a wind up.

Burnley or Millwall would have been even money for this :lolol:

This thread is also 1/5 on to end up in the snake pit

What have Millwall got to do with this ?

No wonder the Club's Directors find it difficult to shed their Reputation if they are instantly linked with incidents that they're in no way involved in.

You've consfused "Premiership" and "Premier League".

Also "Black Lives Matter" with "the redistribution of the means of production".

The witch hunt for all Burnley fans on here a bit of a joke .

Rodriguez was rightly or wrongly not found guilty of being racist.

Burnley then boo Bong as many clubs would in protecting their own player.

The bloke who flew the banner is pretty brainless in this climate as everyone has to be seen to be all over it. He will get the book thrown at him

On the contrary I can clearly understand what BLM means, others are seemingly confused or unaware of what they really want.

They could be people with underlying mental health issues I guess, there is seemingly a bit of that about, maybe the poor loves just need a hug.

"In our latest episode of Marxist Voice, we're joined by Fiona Lali - national organiser of the Marxist Student Federation..."

So what precisely is the connection with the link you have provided and BLM? Other than the fact that person is TALKING ABOUT IT?

What a waste of time (you).

Cunning Fergus has a long history of linking to things which don't say what he claims. I used to call him out on it but life's too short to read the often long and tedious articles he misrepresents.

So how were they supposed to stop it? - which is what you imply. Clearly nothing to do with Burnley FC so can you imgaine the conversation with police or (even) the RAF demanding fighter cover for the Etihad? A response of this kind was always going to happen given the scale of recent events

There was me thinking the whistling icon would be enough to indicate I wasn't being serious (as if the points total being deducted and the focus on relegation dogfight rather than racism needed more of an indication).

Rodriguez was not a Burnley player at the time of the booing

No please, don’t stop........you’re point is that BLM’s objective of dismantling capitalism would not resonate with Marxists, Communists etc.

Prey continue.
