This all day long. The other option is settling for second best

As opposed to fourth best and no glory?

Give me the F.A cup and a European tour al day. It doesn't matter who it's against and as I don't give a monkeys about the champions league the Europa will do just fine. Plus we'd have a semi realistic chance of winning it so two trophies in two years!:rave:

Hands-down the FA cup win for me.

4th place is nowhere near as big an opportunity for a batshit celebration. It's a footnote, with 3 other teams achieving more that season, whereas the FA Cup win can't be bettered (in that competition). It actually MEANS something.

The big celebrations after quarter final and semi final wins... The build up to the final, the big day out at Wembley, the goal(s) and/or winning penalties, the lifting of the cup, the aftermath... all HUGE compared to coming 4th.

Don't get me wrong, 4th would be GREAT, obvs, but the extra wins needed to get 4th instead of 9th doesn't compare to the memories, the defining moments of winning an FA Cup.

Save champions league for the year after - life is better when achieving things incrementally. Qualification for the champions league will feel like another progression after (winning :)) the Europa League

Agree. Let's remember both Fulham and Middlesborough reached the final so it would be a good fantastic. That said, getting past a few minnows in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League and being in a group with the likes of Barcelona or Milan etc would be stunning and finishing 3rd in the group would take us into the later stages of the Europa league (win that and you're in the CL again).

English teams don't play any qualifying rounds now (that was certainly the case with Spurs this season). 4th place = CL group stage.

FA Cup everytime. That's forever. We'd be playing in Europe anyway.

It's all about the silverware.

FA cup. No brainer. Win something at Wembley and then be in a competition where we'd have a lot more of a chance and that would send us to far more interesting places than the champions league.

Knowing our luck we'd probably draw Aberdeen like Burnley did that season they qualified for Europe.

Finish 4th!!!!!!!

I don’t think it will happen, but…….

Would be happy to win the FA Cup, but where is tha ambition in finishing 9th again!

But still the first priority is avoiding relegation

4th - Absolute no brainer.

I would be surprised if any more than 15% vote for the other option.

No chance.

The win the FA cup in and of itself, with the 2 trips to Wembley would be amazing on its own .

Then to go into the Europa where we'd have a fighting chance of doing OK, rather than CL group stage whipping boys.

There's simply no chance we'd get that far in the CL. To win the FA cup and in a European competition where we could be more competitive would be amazing progess.

Though if it was 4th and CL, I'm not complaining!

Option 1. I'd fly back for the FA Cup final.

4th. The money and the status would make Brighton able to challange for cup wins for years, while a win in the FA Cup wouldnt really help much in eventually fighting for CL league positions.
