I'll have you know Worthing is hipster as f**k now that avocado eating, oat milk chugging, leftie bellends like me have moved here from Brighton.
Eastbourne and Worthing are both massively gentrified in the last few years because of exactly that reason. The average age in those towns must have plummeted.

I'm a big fan of both, personally. The only thing going against Eastbourne is it's location significantly south east of Brighton - it's harder to get anywhere from Eastbourne because of that, but it really is a great town for a variety of reasons IMO. Worthing doesn't have Eastbourne's culture but is very pleasant these days, and has the location.

Weirdly, I have this burning bucket-list desire to visit the Newhaven monument to legendary pastry chef on the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry Ho Chi Minh
It's simple. Catch the train to Newhaven Town, cross the line and it is right by the entrance to the station. You can then get straight back on the train without having to go into the High Street.

Brighton factually.....
Yes, I was wondering where you are setting your chaviness bar :)
Ha, yeah.
Don't worry I have lived and worked in some fruity areas in my time, actually slept on a wooden table in a pub in Birkenhead back in the late 80s at scooterboy party with about 50 others.

My reason for posting was this, people were getting all snotty about areas in another thread, and it got me wondering.
Everywhere has chavs, I am aware of that, and Brighton more than it's fair share, but it is interesting, someone posted on here that they thought Worthing was hipsterish !!
Not on my last visit to Worthing a few weeks ago, I don't think I have seen so many young chav's and middle aged people in mobility scooters, the town centre is dire and I could not wait to get back to civilisation.

Why isn't Hove on the list?

In all seriousness parts of Littlehampton are reported to be in some of the most deprived areas of the country.
