Which games this season have been "excellent [Albion] performances"?

Obviously depends on your individual benchmark for 'Excellent'.

Excellent, for me, has to involve a win and, even then, something, well, a bit extra, a la Peterborough away the other season when everything just clicked.

There have been some decent, encouraging and good performances this season. I am one of the few still in the Hyypia In camp. But excellent? None that I can remember.

That said, I get Tony Bloom's point. There have been some games this season when the team has played well and not always got the results it deserves.

Cardiff at home we played pretty well, and came up against an excellent goalkeeper.

I came away from that game feeling like I had been entertained.

I didn't go to Leeds, but it seemed we played well there, and it was a decent result at Forest, who were going well at the time. Bolton we may have won, but they were shocking.

However, I honestly can't think of any games where we have been 'excellent', after all surely excellent means actually winning the game, and there have been precious few of those.

Leeds away, beyond that I am struggling. Its the only game, and I've seen all but two, where we dominated totally AND had the end product to win the game.

I think this is being taken way too literally. Excellent performances are rare as hen's teeth in most Albion seasons (with the reservation that I see far fewer than a lot of people on here).

Leeds away, beyond that I am struggling. Its the only game, and I've seen all but two, where we dominated totally AND had the end product to win the game.

Burton Albion, but then we should have been expected to dominate. Having said that, Burton beat Wigan & QPR.

This season has been a really strange one. We've been playing sort bursts of excellent football (especially during the first half) followed by absolutly dire attempts in front of goal. Comparing this years squad to last years really shows one big difference, that's Ullloa. Last year was equally frustrating, but at least we had a goal scorer which meant we could grind out results with our robust defensive unit. What were the standout games last year? There were not many too, Leiecter and Forest are the only ones which remain fresh in the memory. Maybe two years of reaching the playoffs have raised our expectations beyond whats possiple with this squad, which is mid table bound.

I do believe we're much better than what the league table suggests though. There have been many games we've drawn which we should have won. Who do we blame for that? Sami? The players for not creating good chances? Or the strikers and attacking midfielders for not scoring?

How many home games were we excellent in last season though..... not really many, got away with performances much like they are now but had Mr Ulloa to make the difference at the top end.

i have not been to an away game for ages now, so cant comment on them, but The Cardiff game at home was pretty good...excellent - No. Wigan was excellent in that we were battered for 94 minutes and they couldnt score, so I suppose that must be excellent tactics?

Blackpool 6-1 at home , Palace 3-0 are my excellent criteria, Leicester at home last season and can't count Leicester away as they still had hang overs. Nothing this season has been anywhere near that standards, Bloom is taking us for mugs now

Voted for Cardiff and Wigan in error, it should have been Cardiff and Bournemouth (in next tickbox.)

I've been to the following games this season:

Sheff Wed - Typical first game of the season, neither team looked ready and could have been a draw.
Boro - We were pretty poor.
Rotherham - Looked good for a couple of short spells but still poor.
Wigan - Not inspiring but we defended well and didn't let Wigan create much.
Blackburn - The first half was the best I've seen of us this season (I know that's not saying much but I thought we looked decent). We reverted back to the usual after half time though.

So no excellent performances that I've seen.
