5 birds

I'm having a 5 bird roast this year, succulent and juicy, should be one of the best yet.

So you're happy that 5 separate birds will die for your gluttonous pleasure . Looking at your pic I recommend a salad this year and leave those poor harmless little birdies alone

a report in today's papers suggests that many are giving up turkey and changing to Rib of Beef for this year. We will have Turkey, with Pork and Gammon for Christmas and Beef for New Years Day

Rib of beef. Much easier to cook and serve IMO for a large party of people and tastier than Turkey which I've never much cared for.

you are one of those backing up the report in post no 103

I bet you’ve roasted some birds in your time BG, what’s your preference?

Just back from a 2 day break at a country house hotel. On the menu on the second night was Peacock. Having admired the hotels several birds a few hours before I was slightly caught of balance and refused the chance of tasting one bird I have never eaten or possibly have the chance to try again.

I've often thought of cooking my mrs but this year my son will have a partner around for the "holiday period" so maybe we will cook that bird.

I almost died when he showed me her picture on the internet. Yes, she's a model and she models underwear. If only I was years younger.

Don't worry. I've been behaving myself when he brings her around.

To ensure a covid secure Christmas day we'll be sticking to the rule of 6 so I'll only be roasting a goose this Christmas Day.

Price of 6kg+ butterball turkeys lowest in a number of years according to my friend Jeremy who works in the meat industry.
