Depends what birds I can grab at a market, Redhill market have been doing Pheasant and Partridge so hope to grab some of them with Turkey.Failing that I'll do a gammon joint with the turkey.

We bought a boned and rolled Turkey and boned and rolled Turkey thigh from Thornes Butchers in Martletts centre in October and put them in the freezer. We have no waste and I am not keen on wife using the bones for a stew as in my young days with a Capon.

Well, I'll be having turkey in the garden at around 34 degrees (fingers crossed). It was lovely last year sitting in the shade of the tree. Prawns are always tempting but preferably with peri peri sauce and rice rather than salad. Keep it spicy!

Coupla years ago a small turkey roasted in the oven, a boiled gammon joint and a steamed duck on the braai with cherries and honey it was amazing. Coupla Black Labels or more and a dip in the pool happy days
