James Taylor - Sweet Baby James

He has made loads of albums but this was the only decent one imo

‘Who Wants it’ was the only album by the Riffs. Released in 1989. I saw them 9 times then never heard from them again. I think they still play but only ever released some live stuff after that. The song ‘One Egg’ was Neville’s breakfast and is the very dull inspiration for my username.
TBF they probably haven’t had a great career (at any stage) but I liked them.

Good question.

Lift To Experience, 'The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads'

Notable mentions for Dennis Wilson, 'Pacific Ocean Blue', The Modern Lovers album* and Chris Bell, 'I Am The Cosmos'.

*if that counts.

Well, I'll kind of cheat and say Joy Division with Unknown Pleasures. Pretty sure Closer was released a few weeks after the start of their US tour that was too much of a prospect for IC

And, eugh, the painful Stone Roses love-in is just revealing the age of too many posters*

*Most people seem to think that the music released when they are c16-24 is the greatest. I beg to differ.

Not an artist, a band and there was another album but nobody 's heard of it

I recently found out a reasonably known indie musician artist type took that photo…..

I agree with this statement. I’ll also add, it’s often the case these same people think everything which has been released since they were 16-24 is rubbish…..which is nonsense.

Operation Ivy - Energy

When they folded Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman went on and formed the brilliant Rancid.
Which reminds me, Minor Threat only released one album. Hugely influential band as well.

Bobby Hughes Experience - Fusa Riot.

Impossible to pick a favourite track from it as I love all of them. Here's a taster though.

The Postal Service only released one album, but I listen to it relatively often - sounds very much like an early Death Cab for Cutie album though.
