With back to back wins for the first time in a long time I looked up the table rather than down, so realistically where do you think we can finish this season?

I've set my sights on 12th :)

If We'd have got the deserved result against Palace we'd be 12th now.

Every season since our promotion season, we've threatened to pull away from 2nd/relegation places only to get pulled back in. Would love this season to be different. Think we'll finish 14th.

Let's just take it one game at a time. Lose against United and they'll be doom and gloom and 'we're DEFIANTLY going down' all over the board [emoji23][emoji2357]

Let’s not get giddy, after the L’pool game some were seemingly acting like the season was pretty much done in terms of avoiding relegation and aiming for a mid table finish. The last two results are most welcome however we’ve got some pretty grim fixtures coming up, a point or two out of the next 3 games would be good - reckon the highest we can realistically hope for is to finish above Burnley and Soton IMO after the missed opportunities against Palace, West Brom etc

15/16th. We’ve got the hardest run in. Have to pick up at least 3 points from next 3 to finish any higher than that.

If we can pick up 2 or 3 points in our next 3 tough games then I think we'll hit 40 points and perhaps 14th or 15th otherwise 16th or 17th but it might feel more comfortable then the final table suggested for us.

We'll have to wait till next year to beat our highest points total/league placing

12th! Have you seen our remaining fixtures? I'm confident we'll pick up some surprise points, but I'm not getting carried away. I'll be happy with where we are now with next season looking more prosperous if we continue to build in the same fashion and more of our youngsters become embedded in the first team squad.

I think we will catch Saints because they are in poor form and arguably Burnley & Wolves too as they are within a win. We are unlikely to be world beaters but I'm hoping for 40+ points and 15th or higher would be lovely

After watching both Fullstop and Geordies this weekend I can only see it as a battle between those for the final relegation place
This would be be best guestimate for the remaining games:

Date Fixture Points

3/4 Man Utd v BHA 0
10/4 BHA v Everton 1
17/4 Chelsea v BHA 0
24/4 Sheffield Utd v BHA 3
1/5 BHA v Leeds 1
8/5 Wolves v BHA 1
11/5 BHA v W Ham 1
15/5 BHA v Man C 0
23/5 Arsenal v BHA 0
7 = 39

Where it will leave us at worst 16 at best 14.

We'll move ahead of Burnley and Southampton. None of those below will overtake us.

I'd love us to catch Palace too - the gap's really only 4 points as we've got a far superior GD.

Either way, the Albion players have earned the right to look up the table just as much as down.

Be nice to be higher than 18th. Where we are is most likely, above Stains and Burnley quite possible and likely to be a realistic target. Unless we get a result against one of the big guns skipping past Palace is unlikely, but it would put some gloss on a patchy season

If We'd have got the deserved result against Palace we'd be 12th now.

if if's were money we'd all be loaded .....i'm agreeing though , Man u , etc. we could easily be 8 points better off but then we got 6 points from the bin dippers and the yids that noone would have expected .....funny old game.

Just said that on another thread. Just look forward to the next game. We’ve put ourselves in a decent position. We’ll still have 32 pts after the United game come what may. Just go up there play our football and enjoy it.

Got two excellent back to back wins. Our approach football deserves at least six more points. BUT we are still bang in a relegation scrap, have never won at OT, never got a point in the league against Chelsea and have to tame Euro-chasing Everton.
