Regardless of the table, and I know they beat USA, but have you watched any games? They are utterly hopeless

Utterly hopeless? A draw with England then?

Some pundits on 5Live were suggesting we move fast and pinch the best hotel before the Italians do. That appears to be our masterplan.

Move slow, get the lesser hotel and bag the hard luck story for the trip home?

Seeing Fat Frank running around in the Amazon will be amusing. 35 degrees and 98% humidity he'll be Thin Frank before you know it.

On the positive side, we'll now enter the tournament with zero expectations… even getting through the group will be a success, whereas if they'd fixed it for England to be in with the no-hopers like they did with France, everyone would be convinced we'd win the thing.

In the bigger picture, maybe that's not a bad thing. And if we did progress, the confidence that would engender in the squad could be pretty handy.

I don't suppose Italy & Uruguay are that happy with the draw either

I guess the only advantage we have is that we play the alleged "worst" team in the group last. It could well pan out beneficial to England that Uruguay and Italy play each other last. Or of course it could be shite they play each other last if they both just need a point.

Oooo, exciting ain't it
