Third.

Does that mean we'll get to enter the PLATE competition?

Unleash Barkley against them all. Fantastic player.

Him, Wilshire and Townsend in the same team is genuinly exciting.

I'm genuinely EXCITED at the prospect of our group.

Most years we limp through a CRAP group, and then suddenly face a team 10 times harder and are outplayed. This way we're in the deep end from the off, and if we do make it through the group it would be a massive confidence boost, and we COULD beat any of the 4 sides in Group C. So who knows. I reckon either out in the group or make it to quarters.

You make a good point.

Will walk the group, good prep in Florida acclimatising, narrow win against Italy, then back to base, 2 easy wins, top no problem. Italy have terrible time travelling wise.

I think if we took a few youngsters out their (Morrison,Barkley,Henderson and Lallana) They would try a lot harder than the likes of Cole and Rooney who dont seem to care.

Either way, we can beat Uruguay and Italy. Italy on our good day and Uruguay anyday.

Uruguay have got Suarez, admittedly a class player, and they also have Cavani who is good but a tad overrated if you ask me.

I think if we can get out of the group, we can make the Quarters/Semi's:lol:

What you have to remember is, putting aside all the self mocking, we are a good team in the grand scheme of world football.

We bloody won our group FFS. You can't really fluke that.

Not for one moment do I realisitically think we have the ability to win it (although knockout football is a silly silly thing)when you compare us to the quality on show but you have to be honest, there is no doubt that italy and Uruguay fans would have though "oh bugger" when we got drawn in there. We make it through the group stages. That is what we do.
