Where is Vicente?

Can't we stuff him in a wheelchair on the 1st December and attach it to Kayla the Eagle and have him whizzing up the wing with a banner trailing behind him saying "I'M the best player in the Championship"

Be very surprised if we see him play for us again. Get rid and use his wages for another player.

Yep, but he is injured and not available for that one!? He also won't be fit for this Saturdays trip to Huddersfield, which is first. I'm not saying that our season doesn't start till he is available, just that I think he will be fit and playing a part after Xmas......similar to last season!

Me too actually, dunno why but a part of me is certain we'll see him again.

I don't want him now, he has taken us for a ride, Gus is not shifting him because Gus hates to admit defeat and admit failure.

We may see a couple of sub appearances but I won't get excited like last season.

Even if he gets fit and bangs in ten goals, his contract is up in the summer, only a fool would sign him up again with his 'injury' track record.

Looks like the case for the defence of the scarlet pimpernel, is starting to run out of steam. Bit like he did when he was forced to stay, last season's finale was all about earning a contract elsewhere...In the meantime he is still drawing more from the club funds a month, than most people earn in a year.

Surely the bit in bold is rubbish.

We are in the loan window, so no team anywhere is going to loan in an injured player. That is not down to Gus.

If he wants a move away in January, he'll need to put in some appearances now, or no one will consider him.

If we just 'get rid' and cancel his contract, he still is entitled to full payment of wages for the entire contract, so no advantage in doing that.

I'm not sure it's rubbish.

It's not an unreasonable assumption that he wants back home and someone like an Elche would take him on. But we've "forced" him back here after saying we wouldn't and now he's playing the injury card. Gus is pi$$ed off (maybe Vicente was talking to Elche whilst at the same time saying he'd come back just in case) and now won't let him go. So stalemate. It comes at a cost but maybe that's a cost the club are prepared to take. It's a theory I've held since the summer and can't come up with anything better but could be way off target I s'pose

Mark my words, he will all of a sudden become fit as a fiddle when 1) a team shows an interest, and/or 2) he gets close to the end of the season....... and if a contract is mutually terminated, nobody pays anything.
