Maybe not but no reason why we have to accept it, just to help ease their FFP pain. If we’re going to replace a player of Caicedo’s calibre and strengthen, we need more than £25m up front. Most transfer payments are spread over longer periods. 4 years for £100M probably isn’t outrageous
But we would do the same on player that we buy. Split the fee over x amount of years. The next club do the same and on and onMaybe not but no reason why we have to accept it, just to help ease their FFP pain. Yeah, true. Ok. Put another way, if we’re only getting £25m for the next year, how attractive is that compared to keeping him and potentially having a really good Europa League run and another exciting season domestically? I’m not saying we’d make an extra £25m if he stays - just that we’ve got an owner who will place a value on ‘glory’ too. Chances are we’d still sell Caicedo for a huge fee next summer. I’m sure he’ll go, but will be delighted if we squeeze Chelsea until the pips squeak. But we would do the same on player that we buy. Split the fee over x amount of years. Whether they pay 1p or £100m up front, it has absolutely no bearing on their FFP position.Maybe not but no reason why we have to accept it, just to help ease their FFP pain. If we’re going to replace a player of Caicedo’s calibre and strengthen, we need more than £25m up front.
It’s has nothing to do with FFP. It’s just cash flow isn’t it ?Maybe not but no reason why we have to accept it, just to help ease their FFP pain. If we’re going to replace a player of Caicedo’s calibre and strengthen, we need more than £25m up front.
My shift begins at 14:00...We'll need our NSC spies covering all airports on Tuesday then
I'm hoping to see him in the home shirt in SeptemberHoping to see a picture of Moises in the new home shirt in the next couple of days.
Good point. well made.I'm hoping to see him in the home shirt in September
Are we going to see a separate thread on what NSC does best, track flights involving Albion players. The players must fly to the USA in the next 48 hours, if playing Chelsea next Saturday.
Whether Moises flys out will be key
Yes, absolutely, but the apparently exorbitant wages are also factored in to the BIG club annual reporting. That’s why Chelsea are trying to drive DOWN weekly wages but guarantee huge contract length. They are not offering anyone at 21 £200k a week over 8 years.Whether they pay 1p or £100m up front, it has absolutely no bearing on their FFP position.
When it comes to player purchases. FFP deals with the value of the asset acquired and how that asset is amortised.
How the clubs spread payment is simply cashflow and nothing to do with FFP.
Be awkward if we are sharing a plane with Chelsea. .The players must fly to the USA in the next 48 hours, if playing Chelsea next Saturday.
