UEFA laws effective 1July 23, you had to scroll down to section G.3.c.
“This is achieved by the systematic allocation of the cost of the asset as an expense from the date the player’s registration is acquired and over the period of the player’s contract, up to a maximum of 5 years”.

Having watched him this year, he has been very good, sometimes outstanding. In the odd match not so. I think we need to ask ourselves how we would view him if we supported another team.
I think Albion will get £80m. But if Chelsea stumped up £100m, making him top ten in the most expensive signings of all time, then they would be foolish. He's had one full season in this league. It's the second season that really defines a player.
Still, if they were willing I'm not complaining.
As regards Albion wanting at least £100m. Like almost everything I read, I'm taking that with the pinch of salt it deserves. We don't know what they would settle for.

Wow how ridiculously churlish, the guy does a massive job for us last season, agrees to a long term contract without an escape clause, which means he is no longer low hanging fruit, giving us the possibility of a massive pay day. All along with the owner and manager clearly knowing he has ambitions bigger than our club can in be reasonably expected to fulfil. Given all this then why not the same feelings for Mac, who did have an escape clause written in meaning, he was low hanging fruit and Liverpool got a bargain. Does your petulance extend to all players who move on? Why not have disdain for players who leave their clubs to come to us, surely they have behaved in the same manner. Should players only leave when their contracts are up or they are no longer wanted by their club?

If you sign a contract you should expect to stay for the duration unless of course you have a gentleman's agreement or likewise to say differently. which i would fully expect Brighton to honour.
We pay him handsomely to do a massive job. That's the point. I don't have a problem with Moises by the way i just want it all sorted so he can concentrate on football wherever that may be. Then we as a club can move on.

I was agreeing with you until you said on loan. Why would we drop a players value for a loan move? Makes no sense.
Staying for the length of your contract is the last thing we want our top players to do! Football doesn't work like that.

Whilst I agree with your outcome prediction, there is the possibility that in 8 weeks time, Chelsea just pay us the £100m. A lot is riding on Colwill’s return from England duty. I suspect, like Mount, he has had enough of Chelsea. But they hold the cards. He may well sign an extension with them on the proviso that he comes back to us for a season.
