Worthing
He finished 9th in his final season! Never in a million years would Hughton have been able to do that with us. And also there is absolutely no way RDZ could have done what he's done so quickly taking over from that Hughton side- Potter laid the groundwork for that with his possession-based game.

RDZ is clearly an upgrade on Potter, just as Potter was an upgrade on Hughton. All the right men at the right time. Well done Tony / Paul.
Yes but as it wasn’t an improvement position wise Hughton was accurate.
(Potter didn’t surpass Hughton until his third season).

I don’t disagree anything else in your post, which to be honest is fairly obvious.

Edit - in fact I’ve posted something similar several times in the past

“Brighton expect Moises Caicedo will still be at the club when the transfer window closes on 1 September.

Brighton are adamant they do not want to sell Caicedo and have no need to following Alexis Mac Allister’s exit for Liverpool.

The player has been made aware of the situation and Brighton do not believe it will be an issue.”

Increasingly we are hearing 'don't want to sell' over 'will sell for 100'. Love this.

Perhaps he has been given the assurances that others have obviously been given that we will not stand in their way if they give us another season.

"Brighton impressed by his attitude"

Sad that his pathetic agents will still be busily sending messages to scumbags like Jacobs and Romano telling them that the deal is still on.

Expect this on twitter soon:

“Despite reports to the contrary, Caicedo is still Chelsea’s No.1 target and talks are ongoing. Chelsea are expected to launch another bid soon.”

Watching the rest of Real Football-dom reduced to gibbering rage at Brighton's refusal to sell at Real Football-dom's price is not by itself compensation for the inevitable sale, but it's something...

How long before the "oh well he's not even that good anyway" start rolling in.

Until January that is, where he will obviously already be Chelsea's player.
