I'm in the Marconi bar, just round the corner from the Elbow and same owners. Great blokes in here and I've been assured the Elbow will be very safe post match Thursday.
Eaten in the Marconi 3 nights running. Always busy but small bar typical of a locals bar/eatery. Beer cheap as well, large 66cl Menabrea 6€. Lots of others including Guinness.

former Rome inhabitant here - Fiddler's Elbow is a long-standing Irish pub I'd recommend for a pint. It's near the station but discreetly tucked away.

Places to avoid include Campo de Fiori, or squares/piazze in general.
10 minutes from my digs so may give it a go when I get in tomorrow evening

Just round the corner from where I'm staying. See you all there after the game.

Main reason for avoiding Campo De Fiori? Plan was to head to Open Baladin and few pubs around there. Avoid for pickpockets/thieving bastards or is it a Roma area

Why Campo di Fiori? Been there a few times in the past and lovely area. Was thinking of passing through tonight.

We will try to get Fiddlers this evening. Assume they’ll be showing the footie?
Went to the Albert last night - just north of Qirinale palace - it’s ok tho a bit small but they show football and have a pool table

hi there, it's lovely by oneself, but wouldn't recommend as a group of football fans ... this is my advice for piazzas in general - they can attract large numbers quickly (be it nob-ends on scooters or riot police)
