Good thread. This is a very difficult question to answer, but I'll give it a go.

My staple crisp diet consists of the TRIED and TESTED Cheese and Onion, or cheese & chive equivalent. If it's the only thing on offer then I will happity eat Walkers C&O.

If there's a decent manufacturer like Burts Chips, Tyrrells, Kettle Chips or Pipers then I'll go for that.

Tyrrells Ludlow Sausage are proper nice, as are Burts Mature Cheddar. I'm also partial to some Sweet Chilli crisps as well.

Can't really pick an all time favourite, but at the moment I've rediscovered these little beauties.

Has to be the local potato crisp. Ardales [next village] potatos & fried in olive oil. Seasoned with just a little salt - can't be beaten!

First off, I see it's the usual peasants that are suggesting poor quality crisps such as Walkers. I work in London and as such have a wider market of class to choose from. Tyrells' are the only crisp worth talking about but I don't expect anybody here to be able to pay for them. And I am still searching for the ultimate Prawn Cocktail shell crisp.

One from the 70s , quite hard to find these: Sausage & Tomato

Sainsbury's were selling them recently, dunno if they still are, very nice too :)

Anyway, now that Roast Beef Monster Munch and Marmite crisps have both lost some of their flavour for some reason, it's got to be Frazzles for a regular, everyday snack, with the Stilton & Port seasonal Kettle Chips in a supporting role.
