Jagcare for me
Good guys who love an old Jag or Daimler and know them inside out. Shortly after I bought my mid life crisis, I had a problem and took it to the Jag dealers which at the time were Harwoods, Old Shoreham Road (who had already lost a new sale from me for being absolute dickheads a few years previously).
I took it in, they kept it a couple of days, then gave it back with no idea of what the issue was or how to fix it, a three figure bill for 'investigations' a nice bottle of sparkling water (french, If I remember rightly) and a tin of mints in the central console plus a few people in shiny, if somewhat undersized suits.
I phoned my 'local' garage (who always sponsor an Albion player), had a bit of a rant about Harwoods and they said 'well what do you expect, given what you've bought, their child mechanics weren't born when they made that' Myself and my regular garage have what is commonly known as an 'open' relationship
So, I found Jagcare, they are excellent and I've used them for quite a few years now (and I believe, my local garage have recommended then since)
2014 i10 owner here: just clicked over 69,000 miles and only let me down twice (should have replaced the battery earlier and also forgot to replace the chip in the key fob that works the immobiliser) so all failures down to me. A great little car. When this one goes it's straight back to Tates for another (though I really don't like the i20 but that's just me)Don't touch a Hyundai! I have a Hyundai i10 - guzzles petrol - has the performance of a slug - understeers badly. Any car that needs two new clutches, and now needs a new gear box before it's done 50K miles is a complete heap of garbage in my book. Bought it second hand, so I'm obviously not the only one who wanted to get shot of it faster than we got rid of Jahanbakhsh - though unless I get a new gear box, it's pretty un-sellable anyway, except for scrap. Can't afford to buy a new (second hand) car anytime, just like that, so all I can do is drive the bloody thing without second gear and nurse it until it stops when something else goes wrong, and then scrap it.
Anyone want a cheap Hyundai with a genuine 49K on the clock?
I'll repeat my question then ............. anybody want to buy a cheap low-mileage Hyundai i10? Low-balling offers seriously considered - fancy it yourself? Edit: Never get less than 55mpg from a thankful. Superb economy even though I don't rush about
I've never had a mk3, a 1 and a 2 though, nice cars to drive.

I bought half a car yesterday. I say half a car, its only got 2 wheels, and no roof, but is much cooler than most cars, One of Bertones better designs. All original and unique, from 1970.

I am rather fond of a few pre war cars, 30's, Talbots and Rileys are rather nice . . . Trouble is, those of us normal height now are too tall for what was normal height then, you can't get in the bloody things and drive them properly.
