Jimmy Case at Highbury. Never, ever forget that surge.
Same, never felt as sick or tense watching any game then that goal .. completely lost it and mildly concussed after being elbowed in the head!
Add in:
- scorer is against his old club
- full house including 7,000 Albion fans
- the opposition were League Champions that season
and you have my batshit goal. Jimmy Case winner at Anfield FAC5 February 20th 1983.

It certainly was a great banana moment. Never to be equalled. I can not conceive of a more important goal, especially when compared to the dark days that preceded it. All that emotion invested in one goal, one moment.Bounced around like mad at Hereford but it was never one of my best banana moments. The stress before and after was too much for me. YouTube certainly shows it as a great banana moment.
The good old London Road terrace some many great moments on it. I seem to recall a powerful Richie Barker header from a Rod Thomas cross was celebrated with much enthusiasm.
