Not me, but an older mate of mine was at Hampden Park for the 1960 European Cup Final between Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt in a gate of 135 000

Fabio who?

99,059 (if that's official). Many of the 80's Wembley matches actually had over 100,000 in because you could often leap the turnstile for a tenner if you arrived with no ticket.

The 83 Cup final 100,000+

The 1983 cup final attendance was 99,059.

regardless of what the 'official' attendence was, within about a two minute period I witnessed 3 Mancs risk life and limb by climbing a tree and diving towards what was a window hole (without a window) in the stairwell and also a turnstile operater accepting a £20 note instead of a ticket so i'm confident well in excess of 1,000 Mancs, as they put it, jibbed it

Simple, FA Cup Final 1983, over 100,000 I think. To all those who only know modern football i.e The Premiership, the atmosphere back then was simply amazing. I can still remember as 13 year old the hairs standing up on the back of my neck when the teams came out, nothing else compares since or probably ever will.

Agreed. The only thing that's come close for me was England v Spain during Euro '96. Amazing noise with almost everyone supporting the same team. "It's Coming Home" was simply astounding.
