Sorry but back in the day it was always reported as 100,000 and unless I see photographic proof otherwise, I'm sticking with that magical figure. I still think Wembley missed a big trick by not making the new one 100,000 as well.

The MK Seagulls had a member, sadly passed away a few years ago called Alf, he was 91, and first went to the Goldstone in 1918 and was a friend of Tommy Cook. A wonderful old man and he was sent off to the tune of Sussex-by-the-Sea, in his Albion retro shirt and a blue and white bedecked coffin.:bowdown:

Can I also just add that on my travels as a Partick Thistle fan circa the same era, me and bruv once had one entire side of the Hampden Park entirely to ourselves v Queens Park in the middle of a snowstorm. Every other bugger in the 200-odd crowd had sensibly taken cover under the roof at one end of the ground. Talk about wide open spaces :lol:
