This is brutal, from the opening bassline.

Was lucky enough to see them do this in Sheffield on the reunion tour, with this original lineup. It was emotional. First saw them in 80 at Jenkinson's.

Loved the Bad Shepherds - for those not familiar they covered punk songs in a folk style. Fronted by Ade Edmondson - backed by genuine farmers who were also accomplished instrumentalists.I saw them live - an unusual concert in that knew every song - although not that interpretation. Some worked better than others. This one "Rise" originally by John Lydon's Public Image Ltd sounds like it had always been a folk song

Not heard that version of Desolation Row but then he never plays a song the same way twice, thanks enjoyed that

I have gone way back in time today too

I love "Tell Me Why"
When I was about 19 my boyfriend used to play "After The Gold Rush" all the time .... I hated it (and Neil Young!)
No idea what happened to the boyfriend, but I now play "After The Gold Rush" a lot and love Neil Young :lolol:

Anyways, Liz Kershaw played this today

Going early today. Mrs T and I are massive fans of The Birthday Party, and we are listening to the Peel Sessions vol 1 CD before marching forth to do battle with the elements.

Here is a little cracker.

Need cheering up today after the performance of that simple minded, cheating buffoon of a clown referee yesterday.
"May you be infested by the fleas of a thousand camels armpits Mr Kavanagh"!
There, I feel a little better now.

Following the pointless shooting and loss of a policeman's life in Croydon, I went back to this today. A song I remembered was originally released on National Gun Violence Awareness Day:

Since it's the same song, I feel I can get away with a live version too. It just makes me want to be on stage joining in:
