Last saw Rick at his 'Journey To The Centre Of The Earth' concert in 2014 at the RAH, which was amazing. The first half of the concert was him looking back on his career, he talked a lot about his collaborations with many different people but especially with Bowie on 'Life On Mars'. He then played this solo version, little knowing he'd be playing it less than two years later as a tribute to the passing of his good friend.
