Heard this on a TV series I’ve been watching. Love Scott Walker’s voice and songs but this was one I hadn’t heard before. Typically dark of course, what else would you expect
A stadium sing along from Queen before they wrote big stadium singalongs. I heard this yesterday for the first time in years and I'll be playing it again today so it's today's choice. Forgot how much I loved it, although not surprising as Sheer Heart Attack soundtracked my first dates with Mrs Earle back in '74. Brilliant album.
This was the first album I ever bought. You can keep Bridge Over Troubled Water. This any day for me, and their next one Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme.
Thanks for posting this - it sent me scurrying back into one of my favourite playlists featuring John Prine, Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark amongst others, and from there straight into this....
There’ll be no thumbs for this post . I like it, evoking 70’s childhood memories. David Soul could sing.
I used to watch Starsky & Hutch when my parents were out on Saturday evenings with mates, in the end we were left on our own, after babysitters half-joked that they needed danger money.
The times were a changin’ ... a few short years later I was at The Suite in a crush watching the likes of The Stranglers.
