The Aretha clip showed one of the co-writers of the song dutifully and justifiably in awe of Aretha’s performance. Carole King of course is a fantastic artist in her own right and the Tapestry album is pure class. She wrote so many songs for others and this one of course was a hit in the early 60s for The Shirelles - If you’ve never listened to Tapestry - you should!

Not a song but an album. I have been listening to the PJ Harvey back catalogue this week and her Let England Shake long player is a one of my favourite albums ever. It’s perfect in so many ways....a “complete” album with such beautiful songs. Give it a spin.
