I'm sure I've posted this on the remix thread but it just came up on a randomised Sonos playlist while I was doing the washing up (rock, and, indeed. roll). One of THE tunes that crossed me over from indie kid to clubber, the juxtaposition of Bjork's powerful, yet slightly mad vocals and the "dub for dummies" bassline is somehow irresistible.

Heard this on 6 Music yesterday and am a bit obsessed with it. Her lyrics are amazing in a suburban England does William Burroughs cut up kind of way. The video is great too.

Been loving this for a while now. Guitar and bass have a fantastic retro Au Pairs/Passions feel and the style of the lyrics (not the vocals) reminds me of MES. A winning combination!

While loading a bit more music on to my Cocktail player, I came across this little gem. Decided to add Hal Ketchum to my post lockdown gig list and looked up to see if he is touring soon, only to find he passed away last year of complications from dementia. That's John Prine, Justin Townes Earle and now Hal Ketchum within a year. All on my catch up gig list for 2020/21. Can't believe it.
RIP Hal Ketchum, a talented singer and songwriter. I doubt he had his own NSC thread.
