that's an unusual pairing, Have seen BG a number of times in the south, also HM at The Venue in Manchester and at Brixton, as for The Sugarcubes, Hit and Blue eyed pop really do it for me but will go to my grave missin out on that treat!
Other greats for me include Sparks (numerous times/venues) Belle & Seb (Milan)
and Radiohead (M.E.N)
Back when I was a simple Grimsby resident, Blur were having their spat with Oasis (Country House time) and they announced a tour at the same time as Oasis but to start with were going to play 6 or so dates at shit venues, the first being the Pier at Cleethorpes. 6 o clock the next morning I got down the pier and got tickets (which sold out in 20 minutes) and they were absolutely awesome, something I'll never forget.
The warm up was done by Matt Lucas as Sir Chomley Warner which was bizarre. Have seen them twice since and they were a bit shit (lost interest) since.
The Foo's at Brixton were good too, if only we had tickets for the floor.
Radiohead

Oasis
Stone Roses (even though they were shit)
