With less tv coverage then, I've never seen those 14 goals, or the incredible away cup win at the highly rated WBA.
With 33,500 at the Goldstone it was widely considered to be several thousand more each time, as Bamber like most at the time allegedly fiddled takings from the VAT man. The immense crowds made it unforgettable, and Ward, Mellor, O'Sullivan and Horton rarely disappointed us.
