What would you call Division One next season?

The Championship..

So who's going to win The Championship Championship?

Any better names?

I quite like 'The Proper Bo League' but I could see why that wouldn't be to everyones tastes.. :jester:

I can't see what difference re-branding it makes personally.

Perhaps it should be called the Premiership 2

Tom Peters (Management Guru) tells a story of meeting a lady on a factory production line who didn't like her job title. So he said to her that as from tomorrow she was the "Supreme Commander - Production" - her working conditions and pay would not change but at least she would have a title that matched her contribution to the company effort.

Morale of the story is that it doesn't matter a toss what you are called you are still what you are.,

How about:

The Premiership

The Not Quite As Good As The Premiership But A Flash Division Name Makes Us Sound Like A Big Important Club Division

The We Live In Hope That Someone With A Lot Of Money Is Going To Come Along Or Else We're In A Shit For Another Season Division

The We Live In Hope But Realisticly This Is As Far As We're Ever Going To Get Division

:)

How soon before "Naming Rights" start being sold by individual football clubs?

We've already seen Llansantffraid FC and Oswestry Town FC rebranded as Total Network Solutions FC to play in what is now the JT Hughes Mitsubishi Welsh Premier League.

Why shouldn't, say, Northampton Town rebrand themselves as Pepsi Cola Northampton?

Or, heaven forbid, Burnley FC turn into BNP Burnley, assuming the Banque Nationale de Paris wants to raise its profile in the UK?
