Last heard that is going to the Alan Partridge Charity for Saving the Norfolk Broads.
I have paid my direct debits for the 19/20 season so I would take a refund of cash , I am paying for this season now 20/21 and will keep paying that , but as soon as they know that we won’t be turning up in August they should then suspend the direct debits
Havent heard anything about that either. Was assuming it is included in the refund. We may have to jog their memory.

I too will take a refund, or a reduction in next season's DD's...
If BHAFC were genuinely on the ropes, in a lower league, and needed every penny I'd probably let it slide if it could make a real difference. However, my £400-500 I'll have paid for no football (2 x Adult ST's in West Lower - expensive) is absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of the Premier League money carousel. It'd be like tossing a homeless man a 1p coin.
Happy to also choose my own charities. Cancer Research, NSPCC and RSPCA are mine and I give where I can - so I wouldn't choose that option.

The EPL is awash with money but can’t control itself. All are in it to make money in the long term. The moral compass is low. Players donate what £10k a head and can reclaim the tax above 20% basic rate in the self assessment form (their tax advisors will be all over every penny) so their actual cost is much lower than that. Refund for sure
Is the average wage of our players really £48,000 a week ? Are they still being paid that for not playing ? If they took a 90% pay cut to average £4,800 week or £249,000 a year they would still be on more than probably 99% of Fans ! I`m taking my refund, £200 is a sum that I can use myself.
100% this with silver bells on and a nail on the head.

Does anyone have the technical capacity and spare time to set up an on line system whereby premier league ticket holders can donate any refunds they may receive to designated lower league clubs who are genuinely in danger of going under?
Assuming they do not need those refunds personally obviously.
I wouldn't know where to start, and might be stupid, but it was just an idea wot I thought of.

Not a legal expert but I don't even think this is legal? The contact we entered into was for 19 home games up to the end of this season. Obviously five are not going ahead but I would be surpirsed if you can then roll over a refund into a new contract which started when we renewed in March for a further 19 games in 20/21.
Even more bizarre when you think that the liklihood of actually seeing any games this year is close to zero.
We paid for annual parking as well so I am guessing this will be rolled over as well.

It’s an interesting point though and one I hadn’t thought of. At best it is untested at this stage.
I guess it is the same as taking a 'credit note' from your utility supplier that is then taken off your next bill. If the contract is still in place with that supplier I can't see any problem.
I think the difference is two fold, one the utlity supplier would most likely offer you the choice of a refund or credit note (at least that has been my experience) and two, the supply of energy for example is an ongoing rolling contract with no end date unless cancelled (also there is the fact that you will be using energy in the foreseeable future, unlike football at the moment). Your season ticket is an annual contract which you enter into for a fixed term and a set number of events, hence why we have to renew each year.
I'm not that fussed either way, I just feel for people who may be struggling financially at the moment and could really do with their money back rather than it be rolled over into something which will have to be refunded/rolled over again for the foreseable future.
It would be good if they offered some other options like a credit note for the shop or beer tokens. At least that way the club and I both get something back out of it.
Failing that being able to divvy up the money between the charity/club/refund would be a good way to decide.

You can use your refund to make purchases in the club shop if that’s what you want. Having a club shop credit note isn’t any different.
