Stanmer School
Sorry mate you must have a poor memory. House names were Fleming (red), Britton (yellow), Trevalyan (spelling?? Green) and Hepworth (Blue) but I could be have green and blue the wrong way round. Stanmer School 1967-73. I was the last head of Fleming before Stanmer merged with Westlain. Just seen your username!

Brighton
.

Wow 24 pages and only one mention of my school Stringer, a Brighton school at that, which I left in 1959.

Hollingbury, Surrenden, Ditchling and Beaconsfield.

A little surprised, I think that I'd always assumed that school houses were only done in fee-paying schools - maybe because the only time I had them was at Shoreham Grammar, and never came across them anywhere else. I guess my assumption was wrong.

Based on my incorrect assumption, when I saw 18 pages for this topic, I thought it would be mostly a binfest slamming of "elitest" non-state schools. I was wrong, no binfest here (yet) .... good, I like a bit of peace and harmony once in a while.

Monnington - Maroon
Hodgkin - Green
Young - Yellow
Chichester - Red
Britten - Dark blue

And one other that was light blue but I can't for the life of me remember the house name

Remembered the 6th one - Smythe
