I was at BHASVIC in the early 80's - don't recall having houses though.

When I say I was "at" BHASVIC, I turned up for the odd lesson which might explain why I don't recall there being houses.

Junior School were all UK patron Saints. I was in St Patricks.

Senior school (Brighton College) I was in Chichester. It was a boys-only boarding house then - now I think it is a mixed day house.[/QUOTEI

St Andrews in the juniors and Durnford at the College.

Memories, memories.

St George's in the Junior School (1979-1984) - the Housemaster at that time was the fantastic Mr Leonard.

Leconfield (1984-1988) and School (1988-1989) in the Senior School.

After suffering 4 years of Basil Smith's sarcasm and put-downs, it was time for a fresh start and a move to boarding for the last year. Good times.

At West Park Middle they were named after the surrounding roads and were:

Clive (Blue)
Marlborough (Green)
Wellesley (Yellow)
Shaftesbury (Red)

We had no house names at Durrington High.

Out of interest Thimbles, when were you at West Park. I don't remember house names when I was there. May dad taught there, my nieces go there now.

Rugby (red)
Ditchling (blue)
Grantham (green)
Edburton (yellow)

colours might be a bit mixed up

That's right I think, if you're talking about Downs and the surrounding roads. It was like that when I was there anyway.

mmmm, good question. We had blocks A, B, C, D, E and F. A was Arundle, C was Calais, D was Dieppe, E was Eclipse and F was Falais.

I'm not sure what the link is. I cannot recall any French town being named Eclipse.

B = Bordeaux I think. Tideway by any chance? I thought C was Caen though.

I don't remember having house names in Durrington First, but I was in Petworth at DMS - what one were you in?

I've got a vague memory that after we left they changed the house names at DMS to Jura etc or maybe I'm old and confused! :)

I was in Parham (Blue). Shame if they did change the names

I was at West Park from September 1984 (where I joined from Heene First) through to July 1988 when I went onto Durrington High.

I was in Clive (blue) house.

Surprising lack of Catholicism on this thread so far. Cottesmore was (and still is)

Fisher
Howard
Campion
More

Burnt at the stake every one of them, apart from the one who was beheaded...

I was in Howard..when were you there?
