While on the subject of our Dutch master of the dark arts, a notable mention must be made of his 'battle' with Mr Tumble at the Amex

The Man U fans in our row at the home game. First the boy noticed them videoing the away end on their phones non stop and loudly exclaimed “DAD, I THINK THEY’RE UNITED”. I confirmed this minutes later with a deliberate “YOU CHEATING MANC WANKER” next time one of them put a tackle in to their visible horror.

Minutes later the penalty was given. They’d sidled to the end of the row when the award was confirmed, were on the stairs when Mac started the run up and were bolting for the exit when scored. Still managed to get a “cheerio” in.

I’m not sure this is entirely in the spirit of the OP but Pascal’s goal versus Everton in the 4-1 win away was a real highlight. It had it all:

1. A beautiful finish with Tarkowski ending up literally lying in the net like an idiot after a fresh air clearance.
2. Gross sprinting away from an Everton defence at a pace that my 6 year old would be proud of
3. The awful free kick followed by one of the most inexplicable back passes I’ve ever seen.
4. The toxicity of the crowd when it went in.

Glorious.

Tarkowski was actually on his arse as all 4 goals crossed the line - marvelous!

Its a recent one, but I just LOVED the reaction of the City fans behind the goal when Enciso's strike arrowed its way into the top corner.

A mixture of wide-eyed gasps and applause, before the ball even hit the ground behind Ortega. Me and my sister in the WSU (directly across from the flight of it) just turned to each other with jaws dropped. Just a wonderful moment.

Yes! It's one of the things I look out for now, the Mitoma mistimed/spatially unaware leap in the general direction of his team mates when we've scored a key/big goal.

That and Veltman celebrating like a 6 year old scoring in his garden and thinking it's the world cup winner.

Some of those fans were Brighton though. I'm sure there were more than a few Southern City Plastics (band name?) in the home stands but it was nice to discover a few casual Brighton supporters had been in the away end.
